Data Governance Consultant

We are looking for a Data Governance to work in this project in Lisbon or Porto (hybrid).
Your key responsibilities
- Translate the strategic objectives of an organization into actionable goals related to data strategy, management, and utilization, with a particular focus on the Financial Services sector and BCBS 239 compliance, as well as other relevant regulations;
- Understand business needs and convert them into data-related functionalities;
- Define and implement data governance models, with at least 4 years of hands-on experience;
- Develop and implement policies, processes, and procedures for data management and governance;
- Stay updated on best practices for Data Governance;
- Communicate effectively with team members and client personnel at various levels as required.

- Knowledge and/or experience with data governance tools such as Informatica, Microsoft Purview, Collibra, among others;

To qualify for the role, you must have
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, physics, business administration, economics, or a related discipline;
- Over 2 years of professional experience in Consulting;
- More than 2 years of experience working on Data and technology-related projects, specifically as a Data Governance/Management/Strategy consultant;
- A strong motivation to achieve professional excellence;
- A dedicated, innovative, and resourceful mindset, with strong analytical skills and the ability to perform well under pressure;
- The capability to promote an efficient, innovative, and collaborative team environment;
- Proficiency in English.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Proven experience in analysing and documenting business processes;
- Proficiency in using tools like Jira and Confluence;
- Hands-on experience in Data & Analytics projects, including designing data models and mapping data flows;
- Strong business writing skills;
- Familiarity with frameworks such as DAMA, CMMI DMM, and PMBOK;
- Experience working with Agile methodologies;
- Ability to articulate complex concepts across all levels of technical and business audiences;
- Good communication skills.
