QA Analyst (International Project)

We are looking for a QA Analyst (International Project) to work in Braga, Porto, Coimbra or Lisbon (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a partner on an Agile team, working together to keep delivering at pace, scale, and with the demanded quality to support our products;
  • Analyze requirements and user stories with a critical mindset, identifying possible gaps and being ready to challenge Product Owner;
  • Create testing strategies for new features or architectural changes;
  • Specify test cases for user stories to assure a good coverage of automated tests;
  • Support developers on test case implementation and integration on existing components;
  • Conduct structured exploratory testing sessions;
  • Support the release management in a CI/CD environment, with a quality focus mindset;
  • Analyze incidents assigned to the team and correctly report bugs for the team to fix it, agreeing with the Product Owner on their right priority and severity;
  • Interact with our teams in Scotland and the United States to support integration and end-to-end testing efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
  • Proven experience as a QA Engineer with a focus on automated testing;
  • Strong knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks with preference for Cucumber but it’s also valid to have experience on others (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG);
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) and programming languages (e.g., Java, C#);
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control systems (e.g., Git);
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., Xray);
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Important: Experience in teams and processes involving UI development;
  • Experience working in agile environments, preferably with Scrum;
  • Knowledge in continuous delivery, integration, and deployment methodologies and strategies;
  • Experience working in CI/CD with tools such as Jenkins or GoCD will be valued;
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git;
  • Experience with mobile native apps testing will be valued;
  • Strong analytical and diagnosis skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Have a passion for quality;
  • Open mind to consider different perspectives and views;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Portuguese and English);
  • Ability to interact effectively with other functional teams;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
