Senior Platform Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to work in Coimbra, Braga or Lisbon (Hybrid).
The role will focus on designing, configuring, and supporting API gateway and platform capabilities in a large enterprise environment, working across application, middleware, and cloud layers. The ideal candidate is a senior individual contributor who can work independently, act as a Kong subject‑matter expert, and support secure, scalable, and reliable API solutions with strong hands-on approach to implement solutions.
Skills required:
- Fluency in Engish;
- Experience with API engineering;
- Experience with Kong API Gateway;
- Experience with API gateway design & configuration;
- Experience with API gateway operations & support;
- Experience with Enterprise‑scale API platforms;
- Experience with Secure API design (authentication, authorization, policies);
- Experience with Scalable API architectures;
- Experience with Middleware integration;
- Experience with Cloud platform integration;
- Hands‑on implementation & troubleshooting.
