SNOC Engineer Support

Dellent is a consulting company focused in System Information and Telecommunications. Our goal is to help our candidates and consultants to take a step forward in their careers through projects that meet their needs and expectations. 

In this project you’ll contact with the European stock market area. Despite its development center being located in Porto and all administrative support in Lisbon, you will be part of a multicultural team that is spread across several European cities.

We are looking for an SNOC Engineer Supportto join a project for one of our clients, based in Porto (hybrid model).

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and support critical network and security infrastructures to ensure maximum availability and performance.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 operational support, incident response, troubleshooting, and escalation management.
• Investigate and resolve network and system issues across multi-vendor environments while ensuring service continuity.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to communicate incidents, updates, and technical resolutions effectively.
• Participate in a 24/7 shift-based operational model, supporting business-critical services and contributing to continuous service improvement

Requirements

• Experience working in a Network and Systems Operations Center (NOC/SNOC) environment or equivalent technical training.
• Practical knowledge of monitoring platforms such as Grafana, LogicMonitor, LibreNMS, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, NTP/PTP, OSPF, BGP, and MPLS.
• Hands-on troubleshooting experience in multi-vendor environments, including Juniper, Cisco, Arista, Check Point, and Fortinet technologies.
• Fluency in both Portuguese and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of ITIL principles and operational processes.
• Experience with scripting and automation using Shell, Perl, PHP, or Python.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work independently or within a team.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Strong interest in emerging technologies and continuous professional development.
