Senior Platform Engineer

In this project you’ll contact with the European stock market area. Despite its development center being located in Porto and all administrative support in Lisbon, you will be part of a multicultural team that is spread across several European cities.

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer  to join a project based in Porto (hybrid).

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with 8–10+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, GitLab, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Proven expertise in CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, deployment automation, and version control using tools such as Git, GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, and Terraform.
• Experience designing and operating Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs), Golden Paths, reusable platform services, observability solutions, and DevSecOps practices, including security, compliance, and platform governance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to define engineering standards, mentor technical teams, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities:

• Define, implement, and govern enterprise-wide platform engineering standards, CI/CD frameworks, reference architectures, and reusable platform capabilities to improve software delivery, security, and developer productivity.
• Design, develop, and evolve cloud-native platforms and Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs), including Golden Paths, self-service capabilities, and shared engineering services.
• Build and maintain highly available Kubernetes-based platforms, implementing observability, reliability, security, and automation best practices across development and production environments.
• Collaborate with development, operations, security, and architecture teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and compliant platform solutions while supporting platform adoption across engineering teams.
• Monitor platform performance, reliability, capacity, and cost efficiency, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and drive continuous improvement through automation, engineering metrics, and operational excellence.
