Senior Data Engineer

In this project you’ll contact with the European stock market area and will be able to work for a leading global trading platform that knows the importance of surveillance issues. Despite its development center being located in Porto and all administrative support in Lisbon, you will be part of a multicultural team that is spread across several European cities.

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to work in a project in Porto (hybrid).

Requirements:

• Strong Knowledge in Data Governance, Data Pipelines, Data quality, Data Products;
  
• Ability to design scalable and efficient data solutions on AWS, considering best practices for cloud architecture and infrastructure;
  
• Experience with relational databases (MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, RedShift) and NoSQL databases;
• Orchestration and Workflow Management;
  
• Experience with orchestration tools such as ApacheAirflow and AWS Step Functions for automating and managing data workflows;
  
• Strong Knowledge of ETL tools and experience working with large volumes of data, with experience in messaging systems like Kafka;
  
• Knowledge in Apache Spark, AWS Glue or DataIKU;
  
• Ability to connect with other tech teams, across development, solution architecture, quality assurance, product management, Cloud & DevOps;
  
• Ability to operate with autonomy in all Data Domains to define and implement and end2end data Solutions and Products;
  
• Proactive approach to production monitoring and troubleshooting, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential issues;
  
• Capable of evolving into a technical lead role, with excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams;
  
• Ability to analyze requirements, define technical approaches, and propose innovative solutions to complex problems;
  
• Experience in writing solution documents, technical documentation, and the ability to challenge and refine business requirements.
