Data Engineer
This project is part of the business investment banking and financial services area, and currently has its technological hub in Porto and is working on the development of innovative solutions and support for all operations related to the business.
We are looking for a Data Engineer to work in this project in Lisbon (Hybrid).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field, with strong expertise in data pipeline development;
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java or Scala, and experience with SQL;
- Familiarity with data storage technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Kafka);
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;
- Proficiency in English;
- French is a plus;
- Willingness and ability to travel to France periodically for work-related purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure data integrity and availability;
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into data solutions;
- Optimize and improve existing data architectures and workflows to enhance performance and efficiency;
- Implement best practices for data governance, security, and quality assurance;
- Monitor and troubleshoot data processing workflows to ensure timely delivery of data;
- Document data models, data flows, and technical specifications to facilitate communication and knowledge sharing;
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering and analytics;
- Travel to France as needed for project-related meetings and collaboration with local teams.
