Tech Lead (GCP)

We are looking for a Tech Lead (GCP) to work in Coimbra, Braga or Lisbon (Hybrid).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example with 6+ years of professional experience in JavaScript development, demonstrating deep technical expertise and mentoring capabilities;
  • Apply 3+ years of proven experience as a Tech Lead, guiding engineering teams through architectural decisions and delivery execution;
  • Architect and maintain scalable backend services serverless technologies, ensuring performance and reliability;
  • Experience with Cloud (Google Cloud Platform);
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Node.js, leveraging both JavaScript and TypeScript to support maintainability and team collaboration;
  • Design and evolve RESTful APIs and microservices, aligning with best practices for modularity and scalability;
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, QA) to define, design, and deliver impactful features that meet business goals;
  • Code quality through rigorous testing, peer reviews, and continuous improvement of development standards;
  • Monitor and optimize application performance, proactively identifying bottlenecks and driving improvements in scalability and reliability;
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and innovation within the team.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of professional experience working in JavaScript development;
  • 3+  of experience as a Tech Lead;
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) for streamlined deployment and automation;
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform to support scalable and maintainable cloud infrastructure;
  • Experience with Node.js and RESTful APIs;
  • Experience with GitHub/ GitLab and IaC tools (plus);
  • Fluent in English.
