QA Engineer - Automation
This project is part of the business investment banking and financial services area, and currently has its technological hub in Porto and is working on the development of innovative solutions and support for all operations related to the business.
We are looking for a QA Engineer - Automation to work in this project in Porto (Hybrid).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience;
- Between 6 and 9 years of professional experience;
- Previous experience as a QA Automation Engineer;
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and/or C# (for .NET), Git, SQL, and scripting;
- Knowledge in Web (HTML, CSS);
- Experience with automation testing tools like Selenium, Cypress, Katalon and/or Experitest;
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Azure DevOps;
- Familiarity with Jira and Xray;
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle and agile methodologies;
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within multiple teams;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on detail and quality;
- Familiarity with BDD methodologies and frameworks, such as Cucumber or SpecFlow, is a plus;
- Good level of English Language.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and define a comprehensive test automation strategy that aligns with the goals of the development team and ensures high-quality software delivery;
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement automation tools and frameworks suited for our projects, particularly focusing on Java and/or .NET environments;
- Collaborate with developers, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders to understand application features and define testing requirements;
- Create and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing;
- Facilitate the execution of automated tests as part of the CI/CD pipelines;
- Stay current with industry trends in test automation and continuously seek opportunities for improvement in testing processes and tools.
