Data Engineer

In this project you’ll contact with the European stock market area. Despite its development center being located in Porto and all administrative support in Lisbon, you will be part of a multicultural team that is spread across several European cities.

We are seeking a  Data Engineer to join our team in Porto (hybrid).

Skills:

•  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
  
• Experience of 3–5 years building data pipelines on public cloud services (preferably AWS, also Azure/GCP).
  
• Experience with Database architecture, ETL, BI, Big Data, ML, Advanced Analytics.
  
• Spark ecosystems (Hadoop is a plus).
  
• Pipeline orchestration (Airflow, Step Functions, AWS workflow).
  
• Lakehouse architectures (Iceberg) and optimizations (Compaction, Z-Order, etc.).
  
• Software development and transformation (Python, SQL, SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages, Docker, CI/CD, automation).
  
• AWS services: Lambda, Glue, Crawlers, Step Functions, AWS workflow, dynamo db, AWS batch
  
• DevOps and Agile principles, infrastructure as code (Cloud Formation and Terraform), artifact/vulnerability management.
  
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to collaborate across multicultural teams.
  
• Fluent in English (written and spoken), French is a plus.
  
• Preferred: experience with container-based applications (Docker) and Linux-based infrastructure.
  
• Experience in maintain / developing backend applications like spring boot or others
  
• Proficiency in scripting using Bash and Shell within Unix/Linux environments.
