Senior Application Support Engineer

This project is part of the business investment banking and financial services area, and currently has its technological hub in Porto and is working on the development of innovative solutions and support for all operations related to the business.

We are looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer to work in this project in Porto (Hybrid).

Main Technical Requirements and Responsibilities:

  • More than 9 years of professional experience;
  • Provide advanced support for production applications, including incident investigation, resolution, and root cause analysis;
  • Lead high-priority incidents end-to-end and coordinate with development, infrastructure, and product teams;
  • Improve and maintain monitoring, alerting, and operational documentation (runbooks, SOPs);
  • Lead or contribute to operational and improvement projects (e.g., upgrades, automation, new app rollouts);
  • Mentor junior support engineers and share best practices;
  • Ensure seamless handover and effective communication of ongoing issues across shifts;
  • Experience with Linux, Windows, Bash, Powershell, and Python;
  • Knowledge of HAProxy, Apache, and IIS;
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as: Zabbix and Grafana;
  • Knowledge of Axway API Gateway, Cloud, Terraform and OpenShift;
  • Experience with Jira, Control-M, Confluence, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, XLDeploy, XLRelease and BitBucket;
  • Fluent in English.
