Senior Python Developer

In this project you’ll contact with the European stock market area. Despite its development center being located in Porto and all administrative support in Lisbon, you will be part of a multicultural team that is spread across several European cities.

We are looking for an Senior Python Developer to join a project based in Porto (hybrid model).

Profile

• A Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited institution. Graduation from Grandes Ecoles is a plus.
  
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in data-oriented development roles, ideally within a datalab team, financial industry commando team, or in IT big data projects. 
• Proven record of writing clean, robust, and efficient Python code for production-grade usage, demonstrating strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
  
• At least 2 years of experience interfacing closely with business teams to understand needs, collect requirements, and design data solutions to address these needs.
  
• Excellent proficiency in both written and verbal English. Fluency in French would be a significant asset.

Key skills

• Strong expertise in writing clean, maintainable, and robust code in Python.
  
• Deep expertise in data-oriented development libraries (pandas or polars), Dataiku expertise is a plus.
  
• Familiarity with code versioning tools, such as Git.
  
• Experience with scalable infrastructure tools like Kubernetes and Spark.
  
• Proven experience in developing data pipelines for production-grade usage.
  
• Excellent collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills.
