Data Engineer

This project is part of the business investment banking and financial services area, that currently has its technological hub in Portugal and is working on the development of innovative solutions and support for all operations related to the business.

We are looking for a Data Engineer to work in this project in Lisbon (Hybrid).

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field;
  
• 6+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration, ETL or a related field;
• Strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter;
  
• Experience with Cloud Data Integration (CDI);
  
• Good knowledge of: Informatica mappings and workflows; sessions and workflow configuration; transformations; parameterization; error handling and recovery mechanisms;  workflow monitoring and debugging;
  
• Proven experience troubleshooting and optimizing ETL processes handling large datasets and high-volume workloads;
  
• Strong SQL skills and good understanding of relational databases;
  
• Experience analyzing data integration performance issues and implementing technical optimizations;
  
• Good understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data integration architectures and data lifecycle principles;
  
• Experience working in structured development environments with version control, deployment processes and technical documentation;
  
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams;
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  
• Good communication skills in English. 

Nice to Have:

• Hands-on experience with Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC);
• Experience participating in or leading PowerCenter-to-IDMC migration initiatives;
• Knowledge of PowerCenter migration assessment, compatibility analysis and remediation activities;
• Experience with Informatica Data Quality / IDMC Data Quality;
• Experience with Data Masking, including dynamic or persistent data masking approaches;
• Knowledge of Informatica services related to metadata, governance or cataloguing;
• Experience with CI/CD and automated deployment of data integration components;
• Experience working with cloud platforms and modern data architectures;
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Shell;
• Experience working in Agile environments.
