Network Security Automation Engineer

We are seeking a Network Security Automation Engineer to join our team in Porto (hybrid model).

Here you’ll contact with the European stock market area and will be able to work in a project for a leading global trading platform that knows the importance of surveillance issues and provides technology and managed services to third parties. You’ll also be able to experience a multicultural environment with a strong people culture, being on a team that is spread across several European countries, such as Denmark, Italy, Norway and Portugal.

Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on experience in network automation, with advanced knowledge of Python, including networking libraries such as Netmiko, NAPALM, PyEZ, or Nornir, as well as Bash/Shell, YAML/JSON, Jinja2, and Ansible.
  • Solid experience with Ansible, Git, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions, including Infrastructure as Code and automated testing/deployment workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of network management and automation protocols, including NETCONF, RESTCONF, gNMI, gNOI, and vendor-specific REST APIs, combined with a good understanding of Layer 2/3 networking protocols.
  • Experience with network monitoring and observability, including SNMP, NetFlow/sFlow, streaming telemetry, log analysis and correlation. Knowledge of tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Coralogix, Prometheus, or Power BI is an advantage.
  • Solid experience with Linux system administration, preferably Red Hat Linux, including shell scripting, system configuration, performance tuning, and integration with network automation tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automation frameworks and reusable solutions for multi-vendor network and security environments, including Cisco, Juniper, Arista, and Fortinet.
  • Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, collections, custom plugins, dynamic inventories, and Jinja2 templates to automate device provisioning, configuration management, and network changes.
  • Implement automated CI/CD workflows for network infrastructure, including pre-change validation, automated testing, rollback mechanisms, post-change verification, and Git-based Infrastructure as Code practices.
  • Develop network monitoring and validation solutions, including automated health checks, performance monitoring, alerting, state validation, and automated remediation of common network issues.
  • Contribute to the automation of data center, disaster recovery, and high-availability environments, including VXLAN-EVPN provisioning, traffic engineering, configuration backup and restoration, failover validation, documentation, and operational reporting.
