We are looking for an Apache Kafka DevOps Engineer to work on a hybrid project in Lisbon or Porto.

Your responsibilities include:

• Administer and evolve the Apache Kafka platform;
  
• Work on cluster architecture, including Brokers, KRaft, replication, and min.insync.replicas;
  
• Configure and manage Kafka Connect and Schema Registry using Avro / JSON;
  
• Implement security controls such as mTLS and ACLs;
  
• Tune platform performance, including JVM, retention, and cleanup policies;
  
• Manage storage and Persistent Volumes;
  
• Support incident resolution and continuous platform improvement.

You must have:

• Experience in Apache Kafka administration;
• Strong knowledge of Azure;
• Fluent in Portuguese and English;
• Strong problem-solving and technical communication skills.

Certifications (nice to have):

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals;
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate;
• Confluent Certified Administrator for Apache Kafka (CCAAK).
