Since 2017, Dellent has been working with a leading financial institution in the European landscape, operating across multiple geographies and managing critical operations in the financial sector. Over the past years, more than 90 Dellent consultants have been involved in strategic and operational projects within this organization, supporting areas such as infrastructure, application development, data, cybersecurity, and systems monitoring.
The maturity of this long-standing relationship, built across several project cycles, allowed Dellent to become a trusted partner at a key moment for the client: the launch of an ambitious, European-scale technological harmonization program. This case study highlights our contribution to the success of this transformation, while ensuring day-to-day operational stability and continuity.
The challenge
The client is undergoing a large-scale technological alignment process with a cross-cutting impact on operations. This program aims to consolidate different systems, processes, and technical teams across countries to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and ensure scalability.
This transformation aligns with the organization’s strategic growth pillars and includes the following initiatives:

Dellent was called upon to support several critical fronts of this transformation program, contributing both to the harmonization project and to the client’s regular operations.
Our consultants are supporting the consolidation of technological infrastructure across group entities; modernizing practices in security, data, and QA to meet future audit requirements; creating the technical foundations for efficient information flow and analysis; and assisting local and global teams in maintaining and evolving core applications in a highly regulated financial environment.
The solution
To meet these goals, our intervention followed two complementary streams:
1. Support for the technological alignment project

Cybersecurity & Compliance
A specialized team ensures the robustness of security mechanisms, alignment with industry standards, and readiness for internal and external audits.

Beyond technical execution, they also contribute to project planning, metric monitoring, and progress reporting to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Data Engineering & Infrastructure
We support the development of a robust, scalable infrastructure for collecting and processing operational data. Our involvement has accelerated the implementation of data pipelines, analytical dashboards, and monitoring systems that enable real-time visibility and informed decision-making.
Technologies used: Azure Cloud, Cypress, data pipelines, Shan Report, Shan Dashboard, Data Quality Dashboard, reporting and monitoring tools.
Quality Assurance (QA)
Our consultants have played a key role in redefining and evolving the quality ecosystem within the new technological architecture. They’ve contributed to the definition and execution of detailed test plans, as well as exploratory and ad-hoc testing to address unplanned scenarios.
Technologies: Jira, TestRail, Azure DevOps, Postman, Swagger, SQL, Git, Jenkins, Docker, Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Project Management
We have also supported the management of specific project areas, ensuring coordination between internal stakeholders and program sponsors, and maintaining clear documentation of assumptions, risks, and commitments. This work has helped keep teams aligned and execution on track.
2. Sustaining Daily Operations in Core Areas
In parallel to the transformation initiative, we maintain a stable team of consultants who ensure the daily operation of key areas:
Network Monitoring, Cybersecurity & SOC
Our consultants are embedded in teams responsible for continuous network and security infrastructure operations, playing a critical role in operational stability and the prevention of major failures or incidents.
These teams ensure infrastructure maintenance through automated processes and active monitoring. They also lead technical documentation efforts, vendor management, and support for complex networks and data center environments. Their work aligns with security and compliance requirements and includes the planning and execution of security assessments across multiple regulatory streams, with detailed analysis, implementation roadmaps, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Technologies used: Checkpoint, Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper, JIRA, Trello, SOAR, SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, Linux and Windows systems, among other infrastructure and security management tools.
Technical Support
To ensure the continuous stability of the client’s critical systems, we formed a 24/7 rotating operations team of six consultants.
At the start of the project, we launched a technical training academy where our consultants earned the “IBM Mainframe Systems Operator Level I and II” certifications, crucial for performing in this demanding, regulated environment. The team is responsible for continuous system and application monitoring and immediate intervention in case of alarms, failures, or anomalies.
Their key responsibilities include: prioritizing and resolving incidents across systems (applications, infrastructure, databases, networks); handling major incidents, change management, and problem management; proposing continuous improvements; participating in project initiatives that directly impact service delivery; and applying QA best practices after each technical intervention.
PL/SQL Development and Maintenance
We also support the evolutionary and corrective development of financial applications, focusing on stability, performance, and regulatory compliance. These systems are critical to fulfilling the group’s obligations.
Technologies and practices: PL/SQL, Oracle, Java, agile methodologies, Jira, Confluence.
